The process below is the same for every case, whether it is the first one we run at your office or the hundredth. The clinical care team handles records, consults, and anesthesia clearance. Your office runs its day. We show up ready.

How it works.

Step 1
First contact.
Your office calls, texts, or emails to discuss a specific case.
Step 2
Scheduling.
We work with your office to schedule a time that works for you. Short notice, early mornings, late afternoons, and weekends are available. We are able to accommodate single cases or multiple cases per day.
Step 3
Pre-procedure preparation.
We then contact the patient to gather complete medical history to ensure proper anesthetic care. We obtain records and consults whenever needed, including complex medical cases, alleviating your office of chasing any needed paperwork.
Step 4
Day of the procedure.
Our team arrives in advance with the full anesthesia setup: the anesthesia machine, the complete monitoring suite, recovery monitors, anesthetic agents, and emergency supplies and medications. Our team adapts to your space. Dr. Williams meets the patient or family before the procedure to review history and answer questions. The case is physician-led with the clinical care team supporting throughout.
Step 5
Recovery.
The patient is monitored in recovery by the clinical care team. Most patients are ready for discharge within roughly 30 minutes of the procedure ending. For pediatric patients, parents are brought into recovery as the child is waking. Discharge instructions are reviewed with the responsible adult before the patient leaves.
Step 6
Follow-up.
Our team follows up with the patient after the procedure to check on recovery. Our office is reachable via call, text, or email, for any post-procedure questions from the patient, family, or your office.

Who Does What.

Your office handles:
  • Treatment planning and the dental procedure itself
  • Communicating procedure date and time to the patient
  • Day-of patient intake and operatory prep
  • Post-procedure dental follow-up
Texan AA handles:
  • Pre-procedure call with the patient or family
  • Medical history, consults, and advanced studies when needed
  • Anesthesia clearance
  • The full anesthesia setup, brought to your office
  • Anesthesia delivery and monitoring
  • Recovery monitoring
  • Anesthesia documentation
  • Post-procedure follow-up call

A few things that stay true on every case.

A physician anesthesiologist is on every case. A clinical care team of nurses and medical assistants supports every case. The complete equipment shows up to every case. Anesthesia clearance is handled in-house on every case.
These are not features. They are the standard the rules ask for, and they apply whether the patient is medically complex or routine.
